Repair Café Abergavenny

For my 3rd year final project photographed the East Of Scotland Microlights Club and flying school. Downwind 29 is a photographic series based in East Lothian. The project aims to capture the thrill and enjoyment this community of people get from flying, as well as to show the parts of the hobby that are often overlooked, such as the pre-flight checks, learner flyers, maintenance of the airfield and aircraft and the cup of tea at the end of a flight. The name for the project comes from the radio call pilots make before landing. The numbers in this case indicate they are planning to land on runway 29.
